In-depth Program | Darkroom Printing
A seven-session program in hands-on black-and-white darkroom printing, from getting to know the enlarger and photographic paper to developing a personal series of prints.
Learn to make contact sheets, select negatives and use test strips to determine exposure. Explore contrast, dodging and burning, and how each choice shapes the image.
Throughout the program, you will develop a personal project with guidance from the instructor, combining practical work with shared review, image selection and the relationships between images.
The program includes orientation to the space, equipment, working procedures and safety. Completing the training and demonstrating safe working practices enables independent darkroom use in accordance with its procedures.

Registration and participation
One registration covers all seven sessions in a fixed cohort. Dates are fixed. Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled or made up through the booking system.
Registration closes at 18:00 on the day before the cohort starts, or earlier at the instructor’s discretion. The current registration status is shown with each cohort. Our team confirms whether the cohort will run.
When the cohort is full, join the waiting list through the booking form. Our team may contact you about an available place or registration for the next cohort. There is no automatic transfer or guaranteed place.
Independent use of the film lab or darkroom requires completion of the orientation for that room, either separately or within an in-depth program, and familiarity with its working and safety procedures. Training and approval are checked by our team. Orientation to one room does not qualify you to use the other independently.
