About
Shadow Work is a platform for photography and visual culture.
The initiative was born out of a love for photography and a belief that it is far more than a tool for producing images. For us, photography is a way to observe, explore, learn, and connect with people, places, and stories.
Through workshops, exhibitions, events, and community-based projects, we create spaces for learning, exchange, and creative practice. We support artists, photographers, and makers in developing their work, sharing it with others, and growing within an active community.
Working across both analog and contemporary photographic practices, we are interested in creative processes, materiality, memory, and the ways images shape our understanding of the world.
We believe photography can be a point of connection between people, stories, and different worlds. A place where difference does not divide, but instead allows us to discover the similarities, closeness, and connections that exist between us.
